SANTA CLARA, California -- March 19, 2007 - AsiaInfo Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ: ASIA) has achieved Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) Level 5 Certification for software development. CMMI is an international standard developed by the Software Engineering Institute to assess the maturity of software development processes. Maturity Level 5 is the highest rating that can be achieved under the standard.

AsiaInfo began its CMMI process improvement in 2001 and achieved levels 2 and 3 in March 2002 and March 2005 respectively. In the two years since starting the Level 5 improvements, AsiaInfo has reduced its product delivery time by 10%, and the product quality and project request response time has improved by 8% and 13% respectively.
The Software Engineering Institute (SEI) is a U.S. Department of Defense federally funded research and development center operated by Carnegie Mellon University. The SEI helps organizations make measured improvements in their software engineering capabilities by providing technical leadership to advance the practice of software engineering.
In 2004, AsiaInfo acquired substantially all of the assets comprising Lenovo's non-telecommunications IT services business in 2004. AsiaInfo delivered 5,472,414 shares of its common stock to Lenovo Group in connection with the acquisition. Lenovo Group, through subsidiary Lenovo IT Alliance Ltd., presently owns 4,113,027 shares of AsiaInfo stock.
